“Nova Scotia Strong” in Uptown

by | Apr 20, 2020 | News Releases

Tonight, Uptown Waterloo’s unique LED streetlights will be illuminated to show love and support for Nova Scotia after at least 18 people were killed over the weekend in one of the country’s worst killing sprees on record.

The lights will be lit in the colours of the province’s flag – white, blue, red and yellow.

Recently, the lights were being lit up in red and pink at the beginning of each hour to recognize and show support and gratitude for medical professionals and staff, caregivers, food and medical businesses and their workers, delivery drivers and others risking their own lives to make ours better. This programming will resume after tonight.
