Next week Uptown Waterloo’s unique LED streetlights will be lit up in recognition of the efforts being made by our community’s frontline and essential workers.

The lights are currently lit up each night in spring colours and this weekend will feature special Easter programming. Starting this coming Monday, the lights will be lit up in red and pink at the beginning of each hour to recognize and show support and gratitude for medical professionals and staff, caregivers, food and medical businesses and their workers, delivery drivers and others risking their own lives to make ours better.
