UpTown King Street Streetscape and Bike Lane Launch

by | Sep 17, 2018 | News Releases

The public is invited to attend and participate in the official launch of the King Street Streetscape Improvement Project on King Street North in UpTown Waterloo.

The first phase of the work is now complete and it’s time to celebrate the improved sidewalks, bike lanes, amenity spaces along the street, enhanced walkways, updated benches, garbage receptacles and replaced underground infrastructure. A sneak peak of the new Uptown LED lighting will also be provided. The work of this project was a collaborative effort managed by the Region of Waterloo, with support from the City of Waterloo and some financial assistance from the UpTown Waterloo Business Improvement Area (BIA).
