The two string players are front-desk performers in our outstanding K-W Symphony. The Coriolis Piano Trio is their new name – they have performed for us before, to strong applause.Their program on this occasion they call “Aspiration and Inspiration” –  You’ll see how appropriate this title is when you take in this remarkable program:

Gaetano Donizetti [famed only as an opera writer!], Piano Trio (he wrote only one)

Joan Tower, Big Sky  (she is one of the most noted American composers of the day)

Gabriel Fauré, Piano Trio (he too wrote but one; however, his Piano Quartets are classics)

Ravel, Piano Trio [As you’ll see, this is simply one of the greatest trios ever composed]
