Magic & Shenanigans - Guided Tour Festival

In honor of RedDAY, take on the Try New Things Challenge from April 30th – June 6th, in Uptown Waterloo! RedDAY, on Friday, June 6, is a day which raises awareness toward lowering the risks of heart disease before it starts, with donations going toward vital programs like St. Mary’s General Hospital’s PREVENT Clinic. Join the movement and make a DIFFERENCE in your community by donating and participating in the Try New Things Challenge.

To donate, purchase a passport and then claim it at the BIA office located in Waterloo City Hall. All proceeds will go towards the RedDAY fundraiser. Once you purchase your passport, you are eligible for the special offers from the businesses listed below:

Keeping in touch through phone calls, voice notes, and visits home on holidays seems to be enough to maintain the friendship at first. Then Max meets Lee, and suddenly the voice notes and occasional visits home aren’t what they used to be.

Elliot is left with two choices, tell Max how he feels or slowly lose his best friend forever.

At times hilarious, others heart-wrenching, this coming-of-age dramedy explores friendships, first loves, and growing up.

A unique interactive walking tour exploring secret locations and unexpected venues throughout Uptown Waterloo.

Each tour will be guided by professional comedians who will escort you to experience award winning magicians from all over the world!

This brand new event combines 12 of the greatest magicians from 6 different countries along with professional comedians, actors, and improv specialists chosen as our guides to help you navigate the secrets of Uptown Waterloo.

In conjunction with the limited ticketed tours, you can come and find the best outdoor street magicians, characters and other interactive shenanigans, all free to the public.

Get creative with clay and glass! Our instructor will give a step-by-step lesson on how to create each project, and give you some insights into the process behind working with clay or glass.

Enjoy a refreshing drink while getting creative in our studio. Drink options include: craft beer, prosecco, or a soft drink.

Each ticket includes 1 item to go through the kiln.

Items are foodsafe, dishwasher safe, and microwave safe.

During the workshop, please photograph your artwork so you can identify it when it comes out of the kiln.

Refunds & Date changes:
14 days notice required for a date change or refund (minus Eventbrite booking fee). 50% refund with less than 14 days notice (minus Eventbrite booking fee). No refund for same-day cancellations. Full refund policies here.

Artwork Pickup + Firing:
Items will be kiln fired after the workshop by our team of studio technicians. You will be emailed in 4-5 weeks after the workshop when items are ready for pick up. Your clay artwork will be air dried for 1 week and then fired in the kiln twice. Each firing takes up to 48 hours. Click here to see which workshop dates are ready for pickup!

Support workers and personal care attendants are free:
If you have special needs or medical requirements and would like to come to claytime with a personal care attendant, please book online and then email Sabrina at programs@theclayandglass.ca to add a +1 to your booking free of charge. Personal care attendants are welcome to make a clay project during the program.
