March Break Art Camp 2025 - The Canadian Clay & Glass Gallery

Explore The Canadian Clay & Glass Gallery’s exhibitions and create your own clay masterpiece! March 10-14, 2025, for ages 7-13.

Each week includes a variety of art making adventures, including 3 kiln fired clay projects.

Each March Break Activity will be inspired by The Canadian Clay & Glass Gallery Winter exhibitions! Campers will spend time in the Gallery to explore what is on show and will translate their imagination into various art and clay projects throughout the week. Through clay, we will explore form, function and surface decoration. In non-clay activities campers will explore a variety of artistic mediums such as collage, oil & chalk pastels, and glass-alternatives to name a few!

Pick up and Drop Off Times
9:00am drop off and 4:00pm pick up.

Clay Artwork Pick up
Kiln Fired clay artwork will be available for pick up 3 weeks after the last day of your Art Camp. You will receive an email when items are ready for pick up.

What to Bring
Nut free lunch, snacks, and water bottle
Weather appropriate clothing for outdoor breaks
Dress for mess!
Masks are optional

Friday Art Show
3:30pm on Fridays. Each week-long Art Camp ends with a Pop-up Art Show in the main gallery space. Friends and Family welcome.

Scholarships
A limited number of scholarships are available to low-income families.

Hello fellow time traveller! Join us at Button Factory Arts Centre as we venture through time and space to explore all the different forms art has taken in the past. Each day we will look at a different moment in time, starting with cave painting to the present day. We’ll analyze the way art has evolved over time along with those who created it. Every day we’ll create different artworks inspired by that period or the artist that lived through it!

Monday: Prehistoric (600 BCE and Before)

Tuesday: Classical (600 BCE – 480 CE)

Wednesday: Middle Ages (480 CE – 1400 CE)

Thursday: Early Modern (1400 -1750)

Friday: Late Modern and Contemporary (1750 – Now)

Early Drop off: 8:30; Pick up 4:30 – 5:15.
