INDEFEST is celebration by Nigerians in the Region of Waterloo in honor of Nigeria’s Independence day.
INDEFEST is the largest African celebration here in the Region of Waterloo.
Guests will enjoy the most cultural exports of Nigeria, the infamous Nigerian Jollof rice, and other Nigerian delicacies. There will be traditional dance display from various dance groups (Yoruba, Ibo, Hausa and Urhobo).
Get dressed and put your best steps at the red carpet, which leads to a 360 photobooth experience.
You heard it here first! So brace for impact because the Region of Waterloo is about to be hit with cultural vibrations.

Come trick or treat with us! Participating locations will be handing out candy, and we’ll have live music and fun characters in costume.
The first 50 people to visit our Uptown Waterloo BIA tent in the Uptown Square will also get a free tote to help them trick or treat!
PLUS, come take a selfie at the brand new ‘Heart of Uptown’ located on the corner of William and King.

We’re super excited to announce our Spooky Evening in the Park—our first ever Pumpkin carving & painting event on Wednesday, Oct. 30th from 5pm – 8pm!??
If you’re interested attending, please RSVP via the form in the link, where you will be able to select whether or not you would like us to purchase your pumpkin(s) for you—$5/pumpkin, or bring your own (we wouldn’t want to deprive anyone their experience of going to the Pumpkin patch – haha!??)
IMPORTANT INFO:
•This event is 18+
•Not required, but snacks & treats are always welcome!
•We will provide newspaper to place on picnic tables & garbage/compost bags for pumpkin guts.
•We will provide pumpkin carving kits & stencils that we will share with everyone, but if you have your own pumpkin carving tools, please bring them!
•We have paint and brushes!
•We’re going to set up the tables near streetlights for more illumination as it gets darker earlier now, but we also got some super cute candles and lights for the tables too!
